And oh, I may also post more than just smoothie recipes. Enjoy and happy eating (and drinking)!
Green Smoothies:
#1 - 1/2 cup of carrot (dry measure), two celery stalks, two leaves of kale, six strawberries, 2 tbsp of honey (I use raw honey), 1/4 cup of water, and 1/2 cup of almond (or soy) milk. Optional: add in ground flax seeds.
#2 - two celery stalks, two leaves of kale, six strawberries, 1/2 cup of grapes (sweet ones), 1/4 cup of water, 1/2 cup of almond (or soy) milk, and 2 tbsp of honey (I use raw honey).
#3 - 1/2 cup of carrot (dry measure), two celery stalks, one leaf of kale, 1/2 cup of whole strawberries (dry measure), one apple, 1/4 cup of water, and 1/2 cup of almond (or soy) milk. It won't be fully green, more like a mustard green. Optional: add in ground flax seeds.
#4 - two bananas, two leaves of kale, 2/2 cup of strawberries, 2 tbs of honey (I use raw, local honey), 1/4 cup of water, and 1/3 cup of almond milk.
Mixed Smoothies:
Appleberry - one apple, one banana, a handful of black berries, and two handfuls of strawberries. Optional: add in kale, peanut butter, and/or ground flax seeds.
Bananabutter - one banana, a heaping spoon of peanut butter, one apple, a cup of blueberries, and a handful of strawberries. Optional: add in kale and/or ground flax seeds.
Bananayama - two bananas (or one), half of a baked sweet potato (skin on), and 1/3 cup of almond milk.
Banana Goodness - two bananas, two leaves of kale, 2/2 cup of strawberries, 2 tbs of honey (I use raw, local honey), 1/4 cup of water, and 1/3 cup of almond milk.
Banana Nut - two bananas, a heaping spoon (or two) of peanut butter, 2 tbs of ground flax seeds, and 1/3 cup of almond milk. I used vanilla almond milk. Use more, or less, depending on how thick you want the smoothie.
Berry Medley - one handful each of blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries. Optional: add in kale and/or ground flax seeds. I usually put in raspberries to, but I'm all out. I did add a banana as well.
Island Medley - one handful each of blackberries and raspberries, a banana, 1/2 a mango, 1/4 cup each of water and almond milk. Optional: add in chia and/or ground flax seeds. Kale would be great for this too.
Kale-N-dew - 1 1/2 cup of sliced (and diced) honey dew and 3 - 5 leaves of kale. Of note, this will be a somewhat crunchy smoothie, because of the kale. Optional: add in kiwi and/or an apple.
Kiwidewsauce - one apple (I used golden delicious but any one is suitable), one kiwi, a cup of sliced (and diced) honey dew. Optional: add in kale and/or ground flax seeds
Pomawiberry - 1/3 cup of pomegranate arils, one banana, one kiwi, a handful of blackberries, and two handfuls of strawberries. Optional: add in kale, peanut butter, and/or ground flax seeds.
Strawberry Banana - two bananas and two handfuls of strawberries.
Sweetapplepotato - one cooked sweet potato (medium size), one apple ( I used Gala but use any kind, preferably Honey Crisp), and a handful of grapes (I used Muscat - yummy).
Very Merry Berry - a handful of blackberries, a handful of blueberries, a handful of raspberries, and two handfuls of strawberries. Optional: add in kale, peanut butter, and/or ground flax seeds.
