Kinky's Castor Oil Challenge #1

Hey Kinkies! I'm kicking off my first challenge - a JBCO Challenge!! Although it's okay for my Kinkies to use any castor oil, it appears that the majority of them are using JBCO and that's what I'm using too!

Yayness!!  Not only do we have a natural belle as a Cover Girl, we have someone, who in my opinion, REALLY epitomizes beauty... Kinkies and gentleman... JANELLE MONAE is OUR new Cover Girl!!

I have loved Janelle since the first day I heard her voice... I saw a link on Facebook a few years ago and played the video.  I feel in LOVE (yes, I know she's a girl).  From there, I started to do a bit of research.    I downloaded her albums to my iPod Touch and posted a few on Facebook.  While others were calling her weird and asking what's up with her hair, I was enjoying her overall style.  She reminds me of a classy, female version of Andre 3000.  Both are gorgeous and surely have their own style, which they are NOT afraid to rock.  They're different from what you see on TV everyday... and of note, this kinky does NOT do trends!

I love everything about Janelle Monae.  She's quirky, beautiful, and seems to be really down to earth.  I would love to one day meet her and hang out with her.  I'm sure it would be fun.  Until then, I have her music... and this video:

UHM - Copy Cat Carnival #2

Well, I'm back at it again, looking to 'copy' a new hairstyle, especially since my princess loves to experiment.  The original blog posting that I am copying the hair style from is posted on My Baby Girl's Curls.

Of course my daughter loved the hairstyle, as did I.  The twist out was totally cute!  You can definitely use this as a protective style and add flair like beads, hair holders, barrettes, and/or bows to it.  I'm totally looking forward to the next Hair Carnival and I can't wait to see the blog that copied me!!

I know y'all are like "where you at?"  You know, in the voice of ANY person in a Boost Mobile commercial.  I must admit, I miss blogging and I am totally behind on things with my blog; however, work and the projects at work, have me working crazy hours, barely having enough time to think, let alone sleep!  I'm not complaining though, I'm very thankful that I have a job!  I just feel as though work is keeping me from the things that are important to me... like you all!

Thanks for your patience though, Kinkies.  I will be back soon with blog posts, product reviews, and maybe even some giveaways!  :-)  I also have to update my blog, before posting more reviews, as I ran out of storage space with all the pictures I have... In due time though...

In the interim, make sure you check out what I have already posted and email me any ideas of posts that you would love for me to blog about!  I will try to check in on Facebook and Twitter as much as I can... don't want you all to forget about me!  ;-)
