Usually I use my phone as a GPS; however, I know that it's not safe to always look down to look at it while I'm driving. As such, I was willing to do a review of Siliguy's phone holder.
The Siliguy is marketed as a flexible cell phone universal car mount. It is supposed to be custom fit for an iPhone, Samsung, LG, Sony, HTC, Motorola, and/or Nokia. I used it with both my Samsung Galaxy as well as my LG phone...
I thought the phone holder was a cute idea, great concept; however, as I was driving, and using the phone holder, the phone holder dropped my phone. Now talk about upset because the phone that it was holding was essentially new. Then I remembered that the entire holder IS flexible. Duh!! So after adjusting both the arms AND the legs, the phone holder worked fine.
Would I recommend it? Yup! It's a cute way to be able to use your phone SAFELY while driving, especially if you need to still look at it while using the GPS. It also allows you to do the "hands-free" thing. Better that than a ticket, right? It is distracting though, to me at least, when it's just hanging from the rear-view mirror when it's not in use so I would say to keep it nearby when not in use, so not to be distracting, or an obstruction for the cars behind you. If interested, check it out by clicking here. I'm sure you'll like it and the price as it's not overly expensive. In the meantime, check out my Siliguy just hanging around...
