Hey Kinkies. So, my daughter has been bugging me since forever to put beads in her hair again. I have opted out of putting beads in her hair out of fear of the damage the rubber bands can do. Plus, given the length of her hair, I don't have the patience to braid all of her hair as much and THEN put beads on her braids. The Side Winder Hair Holders is a great alternative to beads and a cute, decorative accessory for my princess' hair.

I tried NOT to use rubber bands AT ALL on her hair and tried to wrap the ends of her hair back through the Side Winders; however, that didn't work due to the texture of her hair. I unfortunately HAD to use rubber bands but I only wrapped it around three to four times so that it would just hold and not be tight on her ends. Some of the ends of the Side Winders are not rounded and smooth, so be careful not to rip the hair. Other than that, I have no real complaints and my 8 1/2 year old daughter absolutely loves them. I'm going to continue to use them and work with them until I find a way to not have to use rubber bands to hold them on her hair.
Here's another picture of my princess' hair using the totally use Side Winders... you can totally wear your hair out while using them!
The Spring/Summer months are among us and I'm thinking of different ways to do my princess' hair, while also incorporating the Side Winders. Stay tuned for those pictures to be posted on Facebook and Twitter.

ReplyDeleteHi Maddies Mommy! Certainly! They are for all hair textures. The site has little girls that are both white and black with them in their hair. I say go for it and try different styles!!
